Field Woodrush is a grass-like perennial weed with broad, pointed leaves, and clusters of star-shaped flower heads which are seen at this time of year. It is invariably associated with acidic soil (i.e., the pH is too low), and the presence of this weed immediately tells us that the soil is too acidic for the grass to be happy.
